Community Benefit Fund
The Community Benefit Fund was established to provide funding support for gambling-related research and amelioration programs concerned with problem gambling, as well as Community Benefit Grants which provide assistance for general community development and improvement purposes,
The Fund receives money from levies imposed on the operation of electronic gaming machines operated by licensed hotels throughout the Northern Territory.

Community Benefit Committee
A Community Benefit Committee, comprising members of key Government Departments and independent community representatives, appointed by the Minister for Racing, Gaming and Licensing, considers all applications for funding and makes recommendations to the Minister. The Committee is supported by a Community Benefit Secretariat located in the Community & Justice Policy Division of the Department of Justice.
Club Contributions to Community
Clubs are expected to contribute to community services and facilities. Guidelines for contributions are now available to assist clubs to complete their Reporting Statement. These reports are monitored by the Community Benefit Committee.
